Responsibilities:
- Write, execute and maintain test plans for end-to-end scenarios in custom web applications and SharePoint
- Coordinate with business users to document test requirements where not already present
- Work with developers to define, document and track defects, and analyze and identify root causes
- Create and institute reporting tools and metrics
- Address multiple testing disciplines including functionality, performance, security and data
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of experience testing web applications
- Deep knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS and javascript
- Proficient in SharePoint usage and configuration including Sites, Document Libraries, Workflows and Permissions
- Excellent organization and communication skills
This candidate will be testing sharepoint sites as well as custom developed web applications. Everything is going to be in a Microsoft .NET environment. The tester will be testing live UI of the applications. They need to be independent and need little to no ramp up time or hand holding. For Sharepoint, they need to be a super user of it in order to understand the ins and outs of the platform. This will be 100% manual testing, however if the candidate has experience using open source automated testing tools (i.e selenium), this would be a plus and they could convert the testing to 80% manual/20% automated. This person will be responsible for their own bug tracking (which Sentara uses Team Foundation Server-TFS or Sharepoint for) as well as documentation of the testing results in either Excel or Sharepoint.
